My sister, a certified nutritionist, is coming up with a safe cleanse and detox plan for me. Details include no refined sugars, refined flours, wheat, eggs, dairy, fatty foods, chemicals, drugs, meats, alcohol, caffeine (ugh, that one is the worst!). The cleanse comes in three phases.
Preparatory Phase: 1 to 2 days prior to fast/cleanse
- Eliminate all the things listed above from diet.
- No multivitamins
- Increase water to 64 oz. minimum.
- All of the above, but instead only fresh fruit, veggies, juices, and herbal teas
- Whole grains
- Squashes, and other veggies, stir fry
- Add honey to teas and juices
- Add nuts, seeds or legumes on 2nd day, limit one serving.
